DNS servers--an Internet Achilles' heel
-
According to a presentation at the Black Hat security event, many DNS servers are vulnerable to DNS cache poisoning. In this type of attack, the numeric addresses of popular Web sites stored on machines are replaced with the addresses of malicious sites. The scheme redirects people to the bogus sites, where it tries to steal personal information.
Does your organization audit its DNS servers?
