Princes and Princesses abound
Call me a mid-timer (39 ish)

I've found that the folks under 25 expect to be greeted with fanfaire just for walking in the door.

Forget going the extra mile, or even going the first one for that matter, they want the trophy for merely showing up for the race and get indignant at having to actually run it.

Along with this comes an arrogance and unwillingness to accept criticism. These traits make it extremely difficult to teach these folks ANYTHING.

Forget the folks with high self-esteem. Give me an under-confident, hungry, driven individual with mediocre talent over one of these spoiled brats any day of the week.

While I do believe in being generous with my praise, I reserve it for those who actually do something.
