Unattended Installations
-
Hi,
I am currently trying to carry out an unattended install of windows XP using an answer file that i have created. I have saved the answer file to floppy and renamed the unnatend.txt file to winnt.sif and then booted from XP CD with the floppy disk in but the answer file does not run. Am i supposed to be running a dos command as well or is it one or the other? Do I rename the batch file as well?
I have also tried the following command line at command prompt: winnt32 [/unattend[num]:[answer_file]]but get message saying winn32 is not a recognised as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.
I am getting a bit frustrated with this now so would appreciate some advice. many thanks in advance.
