not just an anti-MS bigot
For anyone who has been reading my discussion material on this site thinks I'm just an anti-Microsoft bigot: you might be surprised with my take on this.

I actually hope Microsoft wins this one outright.

Of course, my wish to see Microsoft win in this case is not predicated upon sympathy for Microsoft. Rather, I'm opposed to the idea of software patents. They're an abuse of the patent system, and act as a stifling influence in advancement of software technology.

If the UC wins this case, a terrible precedent will be set which has the potential to affect more than just IE. This might set the software industry back five years which, though not much in comparison to many other industries, would be devastating for software technologies.

I guess I don't really care whether MS wins this one, as long as UC loses.
