Solving dial up issues in Cisco as5400xm (RAS)
Hi,

I am new with cisco networking. We recently migrated our RAS from US robotics to a Cisco AS5400XM.

The network has two e1s from a Nortel PABX to the cisco as5400xm. One e1 is directly connected to the as5400xm from the telco. The dial up login authentication is being processed via a radius.

Dial up from a remote location experiences disconnection. When you try a continues ping, you will get a series of timed out replies and get disconnected.

We have BERT tested the lines and found no major issues. We have also checked the e1 controllers on the as5400xm and we have noticed thate we are getting some line violations and series of slip errors.

We have already tried to isolate the problem by checking each part of the network.

We are now down to an option of either downgrading or upgrading the as5400xm software.

What else can we check?

Thanks in advance...
