Overview: SQL Server 2005 has finally hit the market and brought with it significant new features and changes from previous versions. This document explains the various editions of SQL Server 2005 and provides you with an overview of the new management console.

Microsoft's SQL Server 2005 is a significant release of the company's flagship enterprise database application software. However, Microsoft has chosen to cover just about every conceivable market for database software with an array of editions, each supporting a specific set of features. This download describes what features each edition includes in an easily digested table. In addition, the download goes on to explain the various reporting and analysis functions found in the new Management Studio.
