Overview: The overall performance of Microsoft's SQL Server can only be as good as the queries that are sent to it. The automated query optimizer does the best it can to make the queries as efficient as possible but it too has limitations. In this download, you'll learn how to use SQL Server's SQL Profiler and Query Analyzer to see what the SQL server is being asked to do, the queries that are taking a long time to perform, and to experiment with alternate constructions of the SQL to get better performance.

Join the ongoing discussion for this download to find out what query optimization tools your peers are using.
